Two Georgetown teens overdosed on a combination of drugs Sunday afternoon, sending both to the hospital and one to the intensive care unit.
Police received a call at 2:18 p.m. Sunday that the two teenagers, who are brothers, had overdosed on several types of anti-depressants and Tylenol. The boys, ages 15 and 17, were sent to separate hospitals, and one was later transported to the cardiac intensive care unit at Children’s Hospital in Boston.
“This is classified as an overdose. It’s still under investigation,” said Master Patrolman Donald Cudmore, who, with Officer Chris Bonaventura, responded to the initial call.
Police have not released the names of the youths, as the case is still under investigation. Officer Jim Rodden will be handling the follow-up on the case.
