Christian Rook (GUILFORD COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE / February 2, 2010)

The 17-year-old who came at a deputy with a knife last month was killed by a single gunshot to the chest, according to an autopsy report from the state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Christian Rook was shot by the deputy on Feb. 2 after Rook's grandmother called 911 and told the operator he had a knife and was threatening people. The sheriff's office said Rook came at the deputy with a knife.

A toxicology report showed Rook had carbamazepine, a drug used to treat epilepsy and bipolar disorder, in his body at the time of his death. Rook also had trace amounts of sertraline, an antidepressant, in his blood.
