DUNDEE'S seventh suicide victim in just over a month hanged himself from the same tree as a tragic pal.

Dad-of-two Scott McIntosh, 21, was found dead by a dogwalker on Monday. And just weeks earlier his friend Scott Nichol, 22, took his own life at the same spot.

Karen McArthur, mum of the latest victim's children, said: "We saw him on Saturday, he seemed really happy. When Scott Nichol died we all thought it was our Scott. I was crying. But he turned up. He spoke about his pal on Saturday, saying it was a stupid thing to do.

"Scott was on medication for depression, but he'd taken it on Sunday before he went out with a pal. I don't understand how he took his tablets and then did this." Karen, 20, told how Scott – dad to Reece, two, and one-year-old Demi, had just moved in with girlfriend Chelsie Tilley and her son Jayden.

She said: "They were looking at engagement rings."

Karen's mum, Mandy McArthur, 40, added: "He was delighted that Demi had started crawling. He was a doting dad, especially of Reece."

Emotional tributes to Scott were yesterday left at the scene of the tragedy near Baldovan House. One read: "To my wee man, love you always, Dad xxx."
