Fresh-faced TV presenter Sarah-Jane Honeywell has delighted an army of young fans as the pig-tailed star of CBeebies. But here she is presenting a whole lot more to the camera. Sarah-Jane, 39, has stripped off in a series of raunchy pictures that will thrill dads across the country. The TV presenter, loved by youngsters on shows including Tikkabilla and Mighty- Mites, revealed her stunning figure in photos posted on Twitter.
One picture showed her lying topless on a dinner plate as part of a stunt in Trafalgar Square, Central London, for World Vegan Day. The star grabbed her boobs to protect her modesty. In another shot she wore fake breasts on a night on the town. She revealed on Twitter how she had been rebuked for putting the photo on Facebook. She joked: “So Facebook have just told me off for posting this comedy picture. It only took them five years to find it – the nazis.” In a conversation with a pal about the offending photo, she added: “I was rather drunk – I was full of naughtiness that’s for sure.”
She also retweeted a troll’s comments which were too sexual to publish in a family newspaper. It is a far cry from her role on Mighty-Mites in which she encouraged kids to get out and try something new. In each episode, Sarah-Jane and puppet Go-Joe took two children – the Mighty-Mites – on a journey to do something wholesome including go-karting, kite-flying and pottery painting. She presented Tikkabilla alongside various other stars and a small dragon puppet named Tamba.
Sarah-Jane, a singer and contortionist whose Twitter profile picture is of her posing with a machine gun, is no stranger to raunchy snaps. She posed for photographer Marc de Groot in a series of arty shots. In one, she pours pop on herself while wearing an almost see-through vest. In another, she looked far from sweet and innocent wearing only underwear made of candy floss. She has also tweeted revealing pictures of the large tattoo on her back. Sarah-Jane breaks the mould of a typical children’s TV presenter in other ways too. Earlier this year she talked about suffering from depression and bulimia.
After coming off anti-depressant Prozac, she spoke of suffering terrible withdrawal symptoms. She said: “I just felt really awful, pretty much straight away.
“I started to feel like there was no hope. I’d never take my own life – I wouldn’t do that to my friends and family – but it was like I was being pulled down into a black hole.”
In addition to her TV work she has also starred in various pantomimes, including Peter Pan and The Little Mermaid – both in the title roles.
In 2006 she released an EP entitled Love and Magic, and has since toured Britain and Europe with a show by the same name.
Yesterday the BBC said she was no longer employed by CBeebies.
