FLAMBOYANT TV personality Timothy Hadcock -Mackay hanged himself at his country manor after hiding years of depression from viewers, an inquest heard yesterday.

The 43-year-old host of the Channel Four’s Ditch the Day Job and Time to Get Your House in Order killed himself after his marketing company folded with debts of more than a million pounds.

He was found in in the grounds of Barnby Moor Hall, near Worksop, Notts.

“Life partner” Torquil Mackenzie-Buist said Mr Hadcock-Mackay’s depression had worsened in recent months, despite medication to control it.

Verdict: Suicide.
