CAPE CORAL: A Fort Myers man was arrested for DUI after he was found slumped over the wheel of his car early Sunday morning – with his daughter in the back seat.
Michael Joseph Cutillo, 38, of Red Cedar Drive, was in the parking lot of the 7-Eleven store at 798 N. Del Prado with his vehicle running for an hour, according to what witnesses told police.
An officer got there at 1 a.m. and wasn't able to wake Cutillo up by knocking on the door, according to the report, so the officer opened the door.
That startled Cutillo, who reportedly asked if anything was wrong.
The officer asked him to get out of the car. Cutillo had trouble standing up and was swaying back and forth, police said.
The report stated he didn't smell of alcohol, but had a lot of trouble performing the standard tests police have DUI suspects perform.
He was arrested and taken to the police department. On the way there, police say Cutillo told them he had taken Prozac and Xanax for anxiety, and was on disability.
At the police department, the report says Cutillo blew a .000 in a breathalyzer test.
He then agreed to a urine test, the results of which are pending.
The child was picked up by her grandfather. Police also contacted DCF about the incident.
Cutillo is charged with DUI and child neglect.
