A Carlisle father killed himself after becoming depressed about losing his job, a coroner has ruled.
Richard Hayhoe, 29, was found hanged at his home in Whernside, Morton, on January 18. 2010. He died at the city’s Cumberland Infirmary.
An inquest into his death was told the pipe-fitter had been prescribed anti-depressants by a doctor just days before his death, “but showed no suicidal symptoms.”
David Roberts, HM Coroner for North and West Cumbria, said Mr Hayhoe, who left a note, was depressed.
His verdict was that he killed himself.
