Children Murdered
Cleveland Police Department
CLEVELAND — Two little girls are found dead in the bathtub, and their mother is in police custody.
According to police, 22-year-old Amber Hill has been arrested and is in police custody after her two daughters, 2-year-old Success Hill and 4-year-old Jonelle Cintron, are found dead in the bathtub at their apartment Monday.
The girls’ father, 23-year-old Jamie Cintron, left for work around 11 a.m. Monday.
Over an hour later, Cintron gets a call from Hill telling him that the “babies were at peace”.
After speaking to Hill, Cintron rushes home and finds the two little girls submerged under water in the tub.
Cintron hysterically calls police.
EMS arrive, but are unable to revive the girls.
Success and Jonelle were pronounced dead at MetroHealth Medical Center Monday afternoon.
Hill and Cintron are in an on-again, off-again relationship, but recently received counseling and were living together at apartment H6 inside the Community Apartments on East 79th and Woodland Avenue in Cleveland, Fox 8’s Susan Stratford reports.
Neighbors say Hill seemed depressed and [she] told them she was on medication. Hill was taken away in one police cruiser, as Cintron sobbed uncontrollably in the back of another cruiser.
