BARODA, Mich. (AP) —Two sisters and two children were found dead today in what authorities said was an apparent murder-suicide.

“It was a family thing.” Said a Berrien County Sheriff’s Department official  who asked that his name not be used.

The bodies were found after police were called about 4 a.m. to the home in Baroda in extreme southwest Lower Michigan.  The children were aged 5 and 7, but the relationship among the four victims weren’t immediately known, radio stations WSJM and WHFB reported.

The investigation was being handled by state police from the Bridgman post and the Baroda-Lake Township Police Department.  Calls to both agencies went unanswered this morning.
