Police say the teen took a dozen Lexapro pills, an anti-depressant medication – East Greenbush Police
EAST GREENBUSH – A teen is under protective custody after police say he overdosed on alcohol and anti-depressant medication. East Greenbush police say a 15-year-old boy texted his cousin “goodbye” and described how he planned to harm himself.
The cousin called police right away but the teen had already taken a dozen anti-depressants along with vodka by the time officers got to him.
The teen was rushed to Samaritan Hospital where he was admitted for medical and mental health care.
Police say it’s unclear whether the medication, Lexapro, was prescribed to the teen or someone else.
