RAMBO knife-killer Charles Simpson was jailed for life yesterday.
Judge Lord Bracadale told the 46-year-old he would serve at least 14 years.
He denied stabbing 6ft 6ins David Todd, 41, to death in Motherwell, in October 2002.
At the High Court in Glasgow, Angela Grahame, prosecuting, said the motive was anger after the two men’s girlfriends had a fight.
Witnesses told how Simpson ran towards David shouting: ‘Do you want some of this?’ He had lifted his T-shirt to reveal a sheath knife.
David was stabbed through the heart and died in hospital.
Much of the evidence in the two-week trial centred on Simpson’s mental state.
After he was sent down, his family claimed a cocktail of Librium and the controversial anti-depressant Seroxat had turned him into a killer.
His brother James, 44, said: ‘Charles was paranoid.’
Last night, Simpson’s lawyers were considering an appeal against his conviction.
