GADSDEN, Ala. — A 13-year-old student at Emma Sansom Middle School was charged with selling prescription drugs at school, and another student has been hospitalized for an apparent overdose, an Etowah County Drug Enforcement Unit commander told the Gadsden Times.
Rob Savage, the drug unit commander, said the students who bought the drugs thought they were pain pills, but it is believed they were the anti-depressant Prozac. The student who overdosed remained at UAB Hospital in Birmingham as of Tuesday evening.
